A round Christmas ornament hangs from a red ribbon, its glass painted with a snowy village of red timber houses, green fir trees and warm glowing windows. The clustered rooftops, chimneys and window frames hide the finder squares and carry the dark modules. Snow drifts and pale sky patches supply the light modules against the deep reds, greens and blues. Loose blue and violet watercolor washes fill the rest of the sphere, and a puddle of paint pools under it on white paper.
