A snow-flocked Christmas tree crowned with a faceted pastel star stands on a wooden tree stump, hung with red candy-stripe ribbons, gold and blue baubles and green holly. The finder squares are hidden in the round peppermint swirl rings on the tree, and the ribbons, baubles and snowy clumps carry the modules. Red and brown shapes against white snow give the pattern strong contrast, while the pale glowing background with small hanging stars stays quiet and uncluttered. Warm light behind the star gives the scene a soft, glossy finish.
