A reclining figure with closed eyes and curled hair, carved in beige marble and draped in folds of stone fabric, rests on a veined marble plinth. Three nested square frames set into the stone, one on the upper right and two flanking the base, take the place of the finder squares. The flowing drapery and the pale veining fill the rest of the pattern with soft shadow and light. Dark recessed panels behind each pale frame give the squares strong contrast against the cream marble, and the taupe wall keeps the outline clear.
