A glossy purple ceramic vase with white square motifs holds a cluster of purple, yellow and orange irises with green leaves, shot close up against a white background. Dense ruffled blooms and the dark glazed vase body disguise the finder squares, while the petal clusters and vase stripes carry the modules. Deep violet shadows against bright yellow petals give the pattern strong contrast. Fine veining on each petal adds texture without breaking up the structure.
