A panda face assembled from curled white paper strips, with black quilled patches around the eyes and olive coils across the muzzle. Crimson rolled roses, pale pink blossoms and leaves in green, blue and purple surround the head on a soft pink ground. Dark eye patches and tightly wound coils hide the finder squares, while the many small scrolls carry the dark and light modules. Strong contrast between the black, crimson and white coils against the flat pink backdrop keeps the pattern legible across the whole piece.
