A veined white marble statue of a young hunter stands on a plinth, draped in a sash and belted cloth, between two fluted columns. The finder squares are hidden in the square relief panels with carved rosettes and the dark wood frames around them. Modules are carried by the marble folds, veining and carved figures in the background. Strong contrast between pale stone and deep burgundy wood keeps the pattern legible across the whole scene.
