A hedgehog faces forward, its snout and small paws pressed toward the viewer, ringed by a halo of quills and thin radiating lines on plain white. Square frames hidden in the quills and around the face and paws serve as the finder squares, while the dense black hatching, spots and spines carry the modules. Heavy black strokes against the bare white ground keep the pattern sharply defined. The ray lines extending outward give it the feel of classic tattoo flash.
